SafeSpaces is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership that develops a holistic integration programme for unaccompanied minors, young refugees, and asylum seekers, helping them successfully access education, employment, wellbeing, and community life across Europe and Mexico.

The project brings together leading organisations from across Europe and Mexico to develop innovative methodologies, practical resources, and professional training that strengthen the capacity of educators, youth workers, social workers, career guidance practitioners, and other professionals working with vulnerable young people. Through a comprehensive SafeSpaces methodology and a free online training programme consisting of 12 interconnected modules, participants gain practical tools covering career guidance, education, mental health, civic participation, labour market integration, entrepreneurship, sports, legal pathways, and integrated case management.

Yyouth is the leader of Work Package 3 (WP3), responsible for designing the SafeSpaces methodology and developing the project's holistic training program. By leading this work, Yyouth helps ensure that professionals across Europe and Mexico are equipped with evidence-based, person-centred approaches that promote long-term social inclusion, empowerment, and successful integration of young refugees and asylum seekers.

By combining research, innovation, and international collaboration, SafeSpaces contributes to more inclusive communities while supporting young people in building independent, resilient, and active futures.
