Capacity Building for Youth Organizations Promoting Women's  Entrepreneurship and Start-ups

  • Project Name: Leaders for the future
  • Start Date: 01.03.2025
  • Date of Completion: 28.02.2027
  • Project Type: ERASMUS-YOUTH-2024-CB
  • Project Topic(s): Inclusion, gender equality, equal opportunities, women entrepreneurship

Our project “Leaders for Future" is articulated around the difficulty identified in partner countries of finding a stable and well-paid job for young women, especially those with few opportunities. These differences are most pronounced in the Western Balkans, where

employment rates are consistently lower than in the EU-27. Entrepreneurship offers young women a path to economic empowerment, giving them independence and control over their careers. The consortium consists of youth organizations, incubators, and business hubs that complement each other and have direct access to the target groups that will play a crucial role in supporting and empowering young women through mentoring, skills development programmes or creating safe spaces and support networks that build their confidence and resilience.

The project “Leaders for future” aims to build the capacity of youth organisations to design, plan and deliver non-formal learning activities that improve the employability and entrepreneurial skills of young women. Providing training opportunities and resources

to youth centres will ensure the impact and sustainability of the project. Youth workers will have the opportunity to participate in international mobilities (study visits, capacity building events) that will allow them to network with their peers and experience first-hand how youth organizations work in other countries.

One of the main outcomes of our project will be the establishment of support points within the partner organisations to provide

workshops and mentoring to aspiring female entrepreneurs. The idea is that they will become permanent support points and continue to offer support after the end of the project. Another highlight is the "Create your own business plan" contest, which will be launched first at national and then at international level. The young women that win the National Contest will travel to the Final Conference in Spain, where the international winners

will be announced.
